Summer REU 2012

The Summer 2012 Research Experience for Undergraduates at the Center for Research Computing hosted thirteen undergraduate students who spent 10 weeks learning how to use the most current cyberinfrastructure and HPC tools. They received training on fundamental scientific computing skills and techniques to work on designated projects. Each student had a mentor and was tasked with their own research problem in which they used the resources of the CRC to investigate. Research ranged from hydrodynamic modeling of Lake Ontario to modeling and simulation of elephantiasis.
