The CRC's next full maintenance period will begin at 6:30 AM on Friday, January 3, 2020.  At that time, all compute and login nodes will be powered off in order to apply software and security updates.   These systems, including access to files and data, will be unavailable for users until the afternoon of Sunday, January 5, 2020.

Virtual machine (VM) operators and users should also be aware of the planned outage between the hours of 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM on Friday, January 3.  Maintenance will be performed on the core network switch and the storage system used for VMs. While this maintenance takes place, all VMs hosted by the CRC, both public and private, will be shut down and will remain offline.  As soon as the network switch and storage system are returned to service, all VMs will be restored.

The university will officially close for the holidays on Friday, December 20, 2019, and reopen on Thursday, January 2, 2020.  During this time the CRC will maintain compute system integrity, but requests to user support may experience significant delays.
