Kenyi Hurtado joined the Center for Research Computing (CRC) as an HPC engineer within the User Support group in 2019. In this role, he works closely with computational researchers on the development and management of scientific-oriented software tools and services designed to improve the ability of research scientists to make use of globally-distributed computing resources located at universities and HPC facilities. Before joining the CRC, Hurtado was a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Physics, working as a member of the international CMS Collaboration at CERN. He received his Ph.D. in physics from the Brazilian Center for Research in Physics.
