Scott Hampton joined the Center for Research Computing in 2013 and now guides user support for HPC operations. The support team is responsible for onboarding new users, managing software installation and upgrades, troubleshooting and performance optimization of user codes, as well as providing additional training opportunities for staff and students. Hampton is also an active member of professional organizations dedicated to education and workforce development within the HPC field. He studied computer science and math at Virginia Tech and received his master's degree and Ph. D. in computer science from the University of Notre Dame.
