Joel Dietz is a serial entrepreneur and intellectual historian who helped found several key initiatives in the cryptocurrency space, including Ethereum, MetaMask, the first smart contract educational channel, and the first academic work on cryptoeconomics. His research interests focus on the confluence of blockchain network topologies and swarm intelligence, especially how the principles undergirding decentralized organizations can be used to fuel global innovation. He also works on holonic philosophy, the evolution of jurisprudence, data-driven approaches to innovation, and smart city data architecture.

Shengwei You is currently a Computer Science Ph.D. student at the University of Notre Dame. He won the first place in 2018 Seattle Blockchain Startup weekend, and was invited to speak at 2020 Phoenix Hyperledger Global Forum. He’s research focuses on Blockchain Graph Mining and Real-time Data Stream Mining. His passion is to discover an efficient way to extract cryptocurrency users and market behavior features from Blockchain transaction and address graphs, so that people can gain insight into the trends hidden under the Blockchain ecosystems.
